Agatha Christie meets the X-Files in this contemporary murder mystery series. Modern-day demon-hunter John Strange, a former priest with a tortured past, teams up with nurse Jude Atkins, a single mother, who has discovered that her boyfriend was a demon. She also has to come to terms with the possibility that her son could have inherited his father's evil tendencies. In a series of new tales of unnatural happenings and unexplained deaths, the pair encounter demons in all sorts of guises. Jude learns more about the mysterious life of Strange as their friendship deepens. But Strange is constantly haunted by his past in the guise of the intimidating Canon Black, who is determined to suppress Strange's work at every turn to serve his own secret agenda.
